Congo was a town created by lilhines during the First Era.
History[]
Before creating Congo, lilhines constructed a series of "survival houses" along the path from Antarctica to the Congo jungles. The first house was built in the ocean below the Cape of Good Hope on Marion Island, followed by a second house in the vicinity of real-life Capetown. Lilhines then created a third and final survival hut along the coast of Namibia. These structures were intended to serve as safe havens for any wandering players in need of shelter. Eventually, lilhines arrived at his intended destination near the mouth of the Congo River, chosen for its abundance of jungle wood. The giant jungle trees could be rapidly felled using MCMMO skills, resulting in highly efficient logging operations.
First Buildings[]
The first structure created in Congo was a basic 5x5x3 wooden house, built for survival during the first night. Subsequently, it became the official residence of the newly established town. In order to ensure security, only members of Congo had access to the rest of the town through the door of the house. Soon after, a brick mine was added to the side of the house, followed by an offshore farming platform in the ocean, measuring 8x8 blocks in size. The platform was constructed in a way that all blocks remained hydrated, ensuring successful crop growth. Lastly, an animal pen was constructed at the back of the wooden house, where two sheep were kept and later bred to form a herd.
Further Expansion[]
Eventually, the single house became too crowded for lilhines, so he constructed a larger 7x7x5 house with a front balcony. To give it a jungle theme, the house was raised on 3-meter stilts. Next, a large flagpole was built from jungle logs and a 4 by 6 brown flag was hoisted, mainly because coco brown was the only available dye.
Lilhines then opened Congo to any other players who might be interested in joining, but unfortunately, only a single player responded. They built their own house next to lilhines' and also constructed it on stilts. However, they quickly became inactive, leaving lilhines alone once again.
Militarization[]
Despite numerous attempts at recruitment, no players were interested in joining Congo. During periods of boredom, lilhines taught himself how to create weapons and ships. A test cannon was built on the outskirts of the town in an effort to attract new players, but it was unsuccessful. Lilhines then constructed a small fighter and changed the town's name to DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo).
A large construction project was launched to build a massive warship, which had two decks: the lower deck housed four cannons while the upper deck was used for navigation. The ship was made of brown wool with cobblestone armor, but lilhines soon discovered that cobblestone was an invalid construction material. The ship remained docked and was never launched.
Later, lilhines constructed a small wooden tower to be used as a warship dock. The previously mentioned small fighter, now nicknamed the "Jaguar," was docked at the tower. Lilhines set out to create a larger warship that was grander than the previous one. The ship was notably longer and not as narrow, though it was still made of brown wool. 2x2 holes were cut into the bottom of the hull and converted into bombing wells. Sadly, the ambitious project was never completed as lilhines became inactive. Over time, Congo/DRC deteriorated and was eventually wiped during a reset.
