Scandinavian Empire (Tenth Era)

The Scandinavian Empire is a nation created by Spitfire_08 on 8 June 2023, during the Tenth Era. It was made up of towns from Scandinavia. After the collapse of Stockholm, leadership of the nation would transfer over to colorking. Since then, it was a very economic nation until it fell in the evening of 28 July 2023.

History[]

Founding[]

After Spitfire_08 founded the town of Stockholm in Sweden, he had the idea to created the Scandinavian Empire. Assisted by oliv_r, Spitfire_08 invited nearby towns into the nation, including Kristiansand, Kööpenhamina, and Trondheim.

Collapse of Stockholm[]

Due to inactivity, Stockholm would collapse, and control over the nation would be transferred to colorking, as his town was the next most populated in the nation.

Roman-Scandinavian Talks[]

In private messages with IWontAcceptThat, colorking advanced diplomacy with the Roman Empire, while the Romans wanted colorking's nation to merge with the Romans. colorking was reluctant at first, thinking if he would repeat events that occurred during the Ninth Era, or have no governing power, but gave it a shot with a visit to the Roman capital, where IWontAcceptThat stated that he and his town had major plans. They talked on a Discord server, and after completely considering merging his nation, he decided against it. However, they stated they would remain in good relations and colorking decided to keep the original messaging server.

Support against the North Koreans[]

colorking came to the meeting as a delegate for his nation where JFK_gaming08 was killed, and like most of the other people there believed it would be a normal server meeting of diplomacy, then immediately left because he didn't have good enough armor and weapons. This inspired him to write Politikk, the second book in colorking's book series on the server. He also watched for a large portion of the aftermath of the South Korean Siege, trying to help in the surrender of Adboy2011. He did not take part in the actual sieges, however. Later, when Turin_Turambar came to Kristiansand to check things out, IWontAcceptThat privately requested colorking to toggle PvP on in the town, as he wanted to kill Turin for having a worrying presence in the conflict for the Romans. colorking accepted, and the deed was done. Afterwards, colorking explained to him that it was nothing personal, just that the situation at the time called for it. Turin later understood and stopped complaining to him and the Romans for setting him up. While he only had a minor presence in the conflict, it played a part that many (especially the Romans) deemed necessary to halt the conflict from escalating further.

Copenhagen Joins[]

While gathering more people from his town, colorking wanted to expand his nation to other towns in the Scandinavian era, especially considering Kööpenhamina was very inactive at the time and its only member, DoiceNoice, had not been on for almost 2 weeks, which was the majority of the server so far. The only two towns in contention, meaning without a pre-existing nation, were Copenhagen and a new Stockholm (owned by Jagster, not Spitfire), and colorking chose Copenhagen because it seemed to have more potential, more active players, and he did not like bringing back a new Stockholm like nothing happened. Negotiations started with Scit0 and PugyA08 unwilling to join the nation, and attempting to show their higher strength to colorking, as colorking did the same. However, over the time of the discussion, especially as both leaders visited eachother's towns, Copenhagen was more willing to join. The only rule Scit0 had was that he didn't want other towns to join, and colorking's only drawback from them joining beforehand was that they had an incident with the Romans, but the Romans ended up saying that they were still okay with Copenhagen joining.

Economic Rise[]

As the nation began to take shape, both Kristiansand and Copenhagen had plans for economic growth, especially Scit0 who already had plans for multiple farms that would build up in the future. A few days afterwards, St. Petersburg joined the nation as its leader, BronzeBottle, had already wanted to leave the Roman Empire for a while and had relations with Copenhagen. The nation also took to diplomacy and international economy, as they were a force to be reckoned with against other shops, including Walmart and many of the shops that came after, and accepted the invite to the new UN. Along with colorking's Mall and Copenhagen's previous experience with the economy, the nation rose to become a major power, according to the Third United Nations, specifically its founder Jackers41 and it's member Bobby_Stevenson, who made the power rankings for their maps. These projects also got the nation into Slimefun, with quantum storages, electric generators, and smelteries all being necessary for many of the items required for success. A gold farm was finished on June 29, an iron farm was built a while before, and every town got a sizeable amount of money from their profits.

Downfall[]

Throughout the majority of July, things were fine, but activity dropped, leading to St. Petersburg leaving the nation. When colorking came back from his vacation (he played somewhat actively, many people became angry at Scandinavia for invading Kalmar, a three-day old town, and colorking being generally annoying. Although the economics of the nation were mostly fine, they soon had to prepare for a siege, as the Prussians, along with many other people, including goot81, threatened to siege the capital, Kristiansand. Despite all of the preparation done, the effort was in vain and the siege was successful. Afterwards, the nation had to pay 1,000 dollars + 200 dollars per every active player that was in the nation. colorking decided to delete his town, and Copenhagen moved to the United Islamic Front. Greenland, a town created by bigcarnage, was the final town in the nation, and decided to delete the nation after a talk with Scit0.

Diplomacy[]

The Scandinavian Empire was allied with the Third United Nations, which it joined as one of the founding members, and Copenhagen has ties to UK + Prussia. Scandinavia had diplomacy with them, specifically through Dracnoian.
