The Timurid-Mongol War was a short war fought between the Timurid Alliance and Mongol Alliance during the First Era. Due to conflict prior to this war, Mongolia and the Timurid Federation sought to form a peace treaty. Neither side could agree on the terms of the treaty, and Mongolia chose to invade the Timurid capital of Karakol. The war would end in a Timurid victory.
Prelude[]
Due to the proximity of the two nations, Mongolia and the Timurid Federation had clashed multiple times over territorial claims. On 31 August 2014, XCodeNameEagle announced on the forums that an agreement had been reached, known as the Treaty of Karakorum. XCodeNameEagle claimed that both sides had signed off on the treaty, which stated that "The Timurids will only expand between the cities of Karakol and Jerusalem, and the Mongols get everything east of Karakol... [and that] stealing each other's residents and/or towns will be considered an act of war." However, the leader of Mongolia, TheCarlagas, immediately called the treaty a hoax and threatened to invade the Timurids in response.
War[]
Mongolia and its ally, the Northern Union, invaded the Timurid's capital of Karakol, but they were quickly forced back due to the overwhelming number of Timurid defenders. The Timurid forces then moved to lay siege on Karakorum, the Mongol capital. The siege lasted for a few hours before Timurid forces finally broke through, partly due to the Northern Union pulling out of the war. It is claimed that the Mongol forces quickly surrendered and handed over Karakorum, before the town was eventually sacked and destroyed.
Result[]
The war ended with the destruction of Karakorum and the collapse of Mongolia. The Timurid's victory over Mongolia solidified their control over Asia for the rest of the era.
